We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Community Events Manager to join our team.
Your Responsibilities:
New resident onboarding:
Manage our onboarding process and make sure that all new residents go through the onboarding steps;
Host welcome tours in collaboration with our resident community teams;
Co-host welcome dinners with community builders at all locations and make sure that we have a working model that can be adopted in future locations;
Keep track of the onboarding process of new incoming residents
Events & location activation:
Execute larger events organized by us; take ownership of the coordination of all logistics, purchases, setting up and organizing the events;
Work from different Allihoop sites in Stockholm during the week, connecting with residents, and encouraging them to organize and host events;
Gather insights and feedback to make sure we get better at co-creating community programming that is catered to our residents' needs;
Activate interest groups;
Initiate and test new community rituals and events (e.g., monthly Sunday brunch, monthly ping-pong tournament, etc.)
Manage volunteering program:
Manage relationships with the residents who are part of our volunteering program and act as their main point of contact;
Monitor performance of the volunteers and step in where needed, ensuring we have strong teams who act according to the program guidelines;
Assist with training and coaching members of our volunteering program.
Who We are Looking For:
This role demands exceptional social skills, a proactive mindset, a strong work ethic, event planning experience, and a sense of personal responsibility. It's a hands-on, socially engaging position requiring effective energy management. You must be passionate about connecting with people, building relationships easily, and coordinating events both independently and collaboratively.
You will need to excel at planning and hosting events, both with and without the assistance of others. Additionally, you will manage relationships with volunteers, necessitating strong leadership abilities despite the absence of traditional authority. Volunteers should respect and connect with you, even without a formal hierarchical structure.
Additional Requirements:
Excellent English language skills.
Willingness to travel frequently to different Allihoop locations in Stockholm (all within 30 minutes of Stockholm Central Station).
Ability to work in Sweden (EU residence or work permit).
Availability to work evenings most days of the week, following this schedule: Mon-Fri 13:00-21:30 (or Tue-Sat / Sun-Thu, flexible).
